Along attractive winding roads you can discover the low montain ranges of Haut Languedoc
with its creeks and gorges and its attractive rivers of crystal-clear water where you can enjoy bathing.
There are many picturesque villages and also some stone circles, and along the narrow alleys of the villages you can
trace an architectural heritage right back to the Middle Ages.
Within two kilometers of the campsite is the attractive village of Lunas and the still older one of Joncels which is
classified as being of special interest.
As one goes towards the sea, a distance of about fifty kilometers, the landscape changes and the roads are straighter.
This is a flat region with vineyards, and one encounters the wine presses and cellars of the village of Faugères as well as many other
pretty villages and of special interest is the attrative town of Pézénas.
On the other side of the Etang de Thau is the town of Sète well-known as the home of Georges brassens and famed for its traffic jams !
